Sheck Wes recorded his verse for the song on January 12, 2023, and Scott recorded his verse in June 2024, the week after Summer Smash. The song was originally scheduled to be released on April 4th, 2025 when Wes posted to Instagram again teasing the song, but was postponed due to clearance and sample issues. It was then scheduled for April 9th at 12 AM EST but was delayed until 7 PM EST.
This song begins the official 2025 rollout of JACKBOYS 2, and rumors to be on as the album’s lead single, are confirmed as ILMB is the only single, admist the release of JACKBOYS 2.
